  13. NOTE
  14.  - This AWeb-II version is about ten times more complex than
  15.    the version for IBrowse (WWWworkbenchIB.lha), made possible by
  16.    its extensive arexx commands and support for launching arexx
  17.    scripts and passing arguments to it. Because of the large difference
  18.    this AWeb version is labelled 2.0 while the IBrowse version is 1.0
  19.

  21. MAIN APPLICATIONS
  22.  
  23.  - viewing and editing local directories used in web page design
  24.  - optionally on remote website directories too via FTPMount
  25.  - selecting files, and launching into external batch processing
  26.  - etc

  28. INSTALLATION --two ways--the install script or manually
  29.  
  30.   A:USE INSTALL SCRIPT--This will do the same as the manual installation below. You will
  31. have the option of choosing method(s) by which you can launch WWWworkbench from the AWeb menus or
  32. gadgets. After installing start the WWWworkbench via the menu or gadget.Further information
  33. about configuration and usage is avaailable from the title page.

  35.   B.MANUAL INSTALLATION
  36.   1. copy/drag WWWworkbench drawer into AWeb's 'Plugins' directory (where FTPlus,etc are located).
  37.   2. Create a StartWWWworkbench item in the AREXX menu
  38.         -Go to SETTINGS-GuiSettings-Arexx.
  39.         -Enter label 'Start WWWworkbench', and
  40.         -install a path to the 'StartWWWworkbench.awebrx' file in the WWWworkbench drawer
  41.         - CLICK SAVE
  42.    (alternatively you can create a gadget or keyboard meethod of launching WWWworkbench)
  43.   3. start the script.(Select from the arexx menu the installed item 'Start WWWworkbench')
  44.   4. configuration: To start default values are used. Read the Guide for info on configuring.

  46. DESCRIPTION
  47. - WWWworkbench is largely a set of arexx scripts that generates html documents
  48. on the fly which it then instructs AWeb to load.Aside from the fact that a
  49. configuration file will be saved into WWWworkbench for next time, all action
  50. takes place in a Ram:T/W4 directory. Thus it is very safe. However, since
  51. I don't know what you will do with it, I hereby assume no responsibility for
  52. any damages, that may result. Test your procedures first before you commence something
  53. complex. You may be surprised to see what this program is capable of.

  55. - It is designed for local directory managing, but I added support so you
  56.  might view and edit remote directories with the use of FTPMount (c)Evan Scott avail
  57. on aminet. Since browsers seem to freeze when trying to load something directly
  58. through FTPMount, I have designed it so that AWeb loads all material via http:
  59. and FTPMount is only used for directory editing operations such as FTPMount is
  60. able to perform. This means that WWWworkbench can only be used on remote
  61. directories where you have BOTH FTP access and http access.
  62. As I say WWWworkbench is only a set of arexx scripts that utilize
  63. AWeb and optionally FTPMount, whose operation you  have to deal with separately.
